PH Range: Wide, 4.5 to 9.4 Salt Tolerance: Intolerant
Cold Tolerance: Killed at 26 F. The tree will recover from a brief exposure to 29° F but may be completely defoliated Soil Type: Can be planted in a variety of soils, but will thrive and produce much more in soils with rich organic matter. Lack of moisture in the soil will delay bloom and cause the fruit to drop.
Size: Can grow up to 33 ft. in optimal conditions. Varieties: Beaumont, Detwiler, Hong Kong Pink, Mexican Cream, Red Indian, Ruby X, Sweet White Indonesian, White Indian, White Seedless
Comments: Guavas can take a lot of neglect and will stand temporary waterlogging and high temperatures.
